Latitude Festival: Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen gets new foodie job following split from husband Clive

The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen has said she is “excited” about a new solo project, which will focus on her culinary expertise.

Amanda is to feature at Latitude Festival in Suffolk as part of a live cooking show on Sunday July 24, where she will aim to create “the perfect summer roast”.

She has been lined up as one of the event’s Guest Chefs alongside Gary Lineker, Judi Love and Georgina Hayden, and is tasked with creating a menu.

Amanda said: “I am excited to have been asked to design one of the first ever Guest Chef menus at Latitude Festival this year.

“When I’m cooking for the family at home I like to make the most of the wonderful seasonal ingredients that are readily available in the shops and won’t break the bank.

“Where our food comes from is equally important to me, so I’m excited that the meat element of my menu will be lamb, born and reared at Ravenseat.

Festival organisers said Amanda had included "some amazing recipes" in her memoir-recipe book 'Celebrating the Seasons'.Tickets for ‘Amanda Owen: The Yorkshire Shepherdess's Summer Roast’ cost £55 for adults and £25 for children. Amanda’s new role follows her announcement that she has separated from her husband and father of her nine children Clive Owen.In a statement on Instagram on June 10, she said the decision was “the right choice for the future of our family”.

“We continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and wellbeing of our children,” Amanda said.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support and would ask that the media respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time."

Latitude Festival 2022 will take place between Thursday July 21, and Sunday July 24.
