He is looking to get his first Challenge Cup winners’ medal at the fourth attempt.

The England international said they were in “good spirits” yesterday and said: added: “We can’t complain about preparations now, it is just as case of turning up and doing our jobs.

“Preparations can go as good as you want and if you turn up and you don’t perform or you don’t do your job right, it will be no good.

“It is about peaking [this afternoon]. We had a good session but it’s no good if we don’t turn up on Saturday with the right attitude and the willingness to do the stuff we know will work for us.”
