Nicola issues fun new challlenge

NICOLA WILSON is giving her support to a new competition to be held later this month where riders jump a mixture of cross-country and showjumping fences.

The Nicola Wilson Indoor Equestrian Challenge will be held on January 30 at Richmond Equestrian Centre.

The competition will be a test of skilful riding but should also be educational and fun for both horse and rider. There will be five classes, ranging in height from 65cm to 1.05m, with each class named after one of Nicola's event horses. The course will include an Opposition Buzz fence, in honour of this great cross-country horse, where there is an optional hazard that will incur extra time penalties.

The World and European eventing team gold medallist will be on hand to present the prizes to the winners. These include an individual lesson with Nicola at Richmond Equestrian Centre for the winner of each class, plus runner-up prizes provided by three of her sponsors, TopSpec, Wm McIvor and Son and Bedwell Equestrian Bedding.
