Team captain Tim Reaney said “It’s been a great performance from the players throughout the year.

“We had a great start in May and just continued to improve. There was a lot of extra pressure going for three in a row, but the guys all just got on with the job and made sure that there are no spaces in the Lindrick trophy cabinet”.

Rotherham gained some compensation by beating Lindrick in their semi-final before retaining the knockout trophy with a victory over Worksop in the final.
