York City 3 Dagenham and Redbridge 1: Fletcher at the double for Minstermen
York City climbed away from the League Two drop zone with an impressive 3-1 win over Dagenham and Redbridge.
The Minstermen took the lead through Ryan Bowman in the 52nd minute.
Two goals in six minutes from Wes Fletcher secured all the points, against a side which started in 10th place in the division.
Murphy netted a late consolation for the Daggers with 10 minutes remaining.
Victory leaves Nigel Worthington’s side five points clear of next-to-bottom Torquay.
