Wrexham 0 York City 3: Minstermen shock league leaders

York City thrashed Blue Square Premier leaders Wrexham.

The Minstermen moved into the top half of the table with a midweek win over Bath City. But the trip to Wales started a run of games that includes meetings with the other two clubs in the top three of Blue Square Premier, Luton Town and Gateshead, plus a clash with Darlington.

Daniel Parslow, who was deputising for Lanre Oyebanjo against Bath, had been undergoing treatment for calf and hamstring injuries since Tuesday night and was named substitute.

Patrick McLaughlin (4) opened the scoring for York before Ashley Chambers (21) added a second. Jamie Reed made it 3-0 on 24 minutes.
