Going out with a bang: Yorkshire managers given the rocket before Bonfire Night

BONFIRE NIGHT is upon us - but there have already been plenty of fireworks on the Yorkshire managerial scene so far in 2015-16, with five Football League bosses having already left their respective clubs.
Going, going, gone ...Going, going, gone ...
Going, going, gone ...

Talk about a hotseat...

It started on September 8 when Doncaster Rovers axed Paul Dickov and just down the M18 at Rotherham United, Steve Evans’ eventful reign ended by mutual consent 20 days later.

Evans departure on September 28 was followed by the exit of Uwe Rosler, who became the latest casualty in another season of mayhem at Leeds United on October 19.

Next up was York City chief Russ Wilcox, who paid the price for York City’s lacklustre form seven days later - after just over a year in the post at Bootham Crescent.

The most recent exit came on Wednesday when Chris Powell, to the surprise of many and the disappointment of a number in the wider footballing fraternity, was axed with Huddersfield Town seeking a new dynamic direction in their management.

Another Yorkshire manager in Lee Johnson is also on decidedly thin ice, with Barnsley heading into Saturday’s huge FA Cup tie at non-league Altrincham reeling somewhat after a run of seven straight league defeats - something that the Reds last recorded at the end of 1958-59 campaign.

Five seasonal managerial changes already then in Yorkshire - a record so far this century - and it’s only November 5. How does it stack up with previous seasons? Take a look below ...
