Aaron Ramsdale: No chance with either of Wolves' clinical early goals. In between that, he made a fine tip-over to deny Jimenez. Made an excellent second-half save to turn Saiss's effort onto the post. 7

Chris Basham: Little chance to showcase his trademark surges upfield. One dangerous first-half cross had to be tipped over by Patricio. 6

John Egan. Booked for tripping Jiminez on 33 minutes, but he and his team-mates could not get near him before that. 5

Jack O'Connell. Brought straight back into the fray after little match time in pre-season, the defender had a tough evening against dangerous opponents. 5.

George Baldock. Could not have a telling effect on proceedings, like several others. Fired one rebound wide when well placed. 6

Ollie Norwood. Couldn't dictate and found it pretty hard going against energetic, sharp visitors. 5

John Lundstram: Hoodwinked by Podence in the run-up to Wolves' opener and had a difficult evening. 5

John Fleck: Went as close as anyone in red and white with a thumping low drive which hit the post on the restart. More assertive on restart. 6

Enda Stevens: Fired over early in the second half. Far from at his best, but kept going. 6

Oli McBurnie: Planted one first-half header straight at Patricio and put himself about. But not too much came off. Booked for a foul on Jimenez and denied a late consolation when Saiss cleared his header off the line. 6
