Lincoln City 0 Rotherham United 6: Moore gets Liddell off to a flier

CARETAKER manager Andy Liddle scored a stunning win at the first time of asking as Rotherham began the post Ronnie Moore era in style at Sincil Bank.

Ironically, it was the former manager’s son, Ian Thomas-Moore, who stole the show with a hat-trick to help propel the Millers back into the play-off zone.

Liddle, who stepped in after Moore was sacked following the 5-0 defeat at Chesterfield, made five changes, dropping top scorer Adam Le Fondre and captain Ryan Cresswell and the visitors bagged their biggest win of the season.

Thomas-Moore netted his first goal for the club at the far post in the ninth minute after the Imps failed to clear Nicky Law’s corner.

Danny Harrison latched onto a flick from Ryan Taylor to double the lead five minutes later.

Rotherham’s domination continued into the second half and Thomas-Moore fired his second of the game from Mark Bradley’s pull back five minutes after the restart. Ryan Taylor swooped to make it 4-0 three minutes later and Thomas-Moore won and converted a penalty after Patrick Kanyuka was sent off for the foul and substitute Jason Taylor arrowed in a 30-yarder late on.
