Leeds United gatecrashed champions QPR’s promotion part with a 2-1 win at Loftus Road to leave them dreaming of what might have been.

Elsewhere, disappointing seasons for Sheffield United and Doncaster Rovers ended in heavy away defeats at Swansea and Middlesbrough.

Barnsley ended on a high with a 1-0 win over Reading, while Hull City crashed 3-0 at Bristol City.

Heidar Helguson (1) puts Rangers in front, before Max Gradel (38) equalised. Ross McCormack (68) grabbed a winner for Leeds.

Stephen Dobbie put Swans ahead in the first half before a Scott Sinclair made it 2-0 from the penalty spot, Shane Lowry red carded. Dobbie (60) added third before Leon Britton completed scoring.

Two goals from Daniel Ward (14,15) gave Terriers an early lead, before Jeffery Schlupp (45, 50) replied. Lee Novak and Benik Afobe twice put Town back in front, only for Lewis Grabban to equalise on both occasions.

FT Sheffield Wednesday 1 Exeter City 2

Jermaine Johnson (15) opened scoring, before Daniel Nardiello equalised in second half and Troy Archibald-Henville netted winner for City.

League Two

FT Bradford City 1 Crewe Alexandra 5

First-half goals from Shaun Miller (2), Clayton Donaldson and Danny Shelley put Crewe in control. City replied via a Jake Speight penalty on 23 minutes. Shelley added a fifth.

FT Rotherham United 3 Torquay United 1

Ryan Taylor (10) opened scoring for Millers, before Chris Zebroski (31) equalised. Danny Harrison restored the home side’s lead. Oliver Banks added a third Millers goal.
