Hull City's Dogukan Sinik making progress but Tigers' injury picture will be no better for Cardiff City trip

Dogukan Sinik has made his first tentative return to Hull City training but the Tigers' injury list shows no sign of easing in time for Saturday's trip to Cardiff City.

Good news though it is that the Turkish winger has been back on the grass at Hull's Cottingham base this week, he is yet to join in with the group and his delayed debut is therefore still some way off.

The 23-year-old injured a calf in his first week of training and is yet to feature for the club he joined from Antalyaspor in the summer. With little by way of pre-season to fall back on, he will need patience as he gets up to speed for his first spell of Championship football.

He is one of a long list of injury absentees which was added to at the weekend when forward Benjamin Tetteh picked up a hamstring injury in the home defeat to Sheffield United.

"It doesn't look any better than it was because Benji Tetteh was injured in the last game," admitted coach Shota Arveladze when asked if there was any change to the injury picture.

"Sinik has started training not with the group but individually. He's on the field now."

Allahyar Sayyadmanesh (hamstring), James Scott (shin splints), Greg Docherty (quad), Brandon Fleming (foot) and Vaughn Cowill (knee) will all miss the trip to South Wales, whilst Adama Traore (hamstring) and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand (groin) signed with pre-existing problems.
