Hull City dealt triple injury blow

HULL CITY manager Steve Bruce is expecting to be without Robert Snodgrass and Nick Powell for a potentially season-defining week of the club's season.

The Tigers host MK Dons tomorrow and then Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night before heading to Middlesbrough a week tonight for a key promotion showdown.

City, however, will tackle that trio of games without either Snodgrass or Powell, while Shaun Maloney is also out.

Speaking this morning at Hull’s Cottingham training base, Bruce said: “Robert Snodgrass tweaked a groin yesterday crossing a ball and then Nick Powell felt his hamstring at the start of the warm-up.

“Shaun Maloney twisted his ankle on the day before the Arsenal game and then we have got Ryan Taylor, who’s had an ingrowing toenail that’s needed to be removed.

“It’s hard to see any of them making any of the three games this week.

“That will possibly rule Snodgrass out of playing for Scotland but it’s still early. We’ll wait and see.”
