Bristol City v Rotherham United: Warnock wary complacency as Derbyshire is reprieved

AHEAD of a double-header that could go a long way towards deciding Rotherham United's fate this season, manager Neil Warnock has warned his players: 'We still haven't achieved anything.'

The Millers’ amazing turnaround under the 67-year-old continued over the weekend with a dramatic derby victory over Leeds United.

It took United’s tally of points from the last six games to a phenomenal 16 and moved the South Yorkshire club further away from trouble.

MK Dons are the side occupying the final relegation place right now and Rotherham head to stadium:mk this weekend.

Tonight, though, is all about another team scrapping for their Championship lives as Warnock takes his men to Bristol City.

Just one point separates Lee Johnson’s Robins in 19th place from fifth-bottom Rotherham, meaning there is still plenty of work to do by Warnock and his players if safety is to be achieved.

“We still haven’t achieved anything,” said Warnock, who is still waiting to see if Matt Derbyshire will be available after appealling last Saturday’s red card.

“You have got to scrap for every point and that is what we will be doing. This is a good group of lads with their feet on the floor.

“There is a good spirit here and that hasn’t just arrived. You have to work hard to get spirit like that.

“I have got Blacky (Kevin Blackwell) and Jepo (Ronnie Jepson) doing the business and I put the icing on the cake really. So it is a good recipe.

“I have done it all my career and I enjoy it, I enjoy seeing lads like that. Some of those lads haven’t had that feeling, whereas I have had it all my career.”
