Accrington Stanley v York City: Another chance for Minstermen to atone
Accrington Stanley put five goals past the Minstermen in December, just four days after six goals had been scored past Scott Flinders at Portsmouth.
That thumping on the south coast was avenged on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Pompey that kept the club alive in the Football League.

Hide AdNow, Jackie McNamara needs a repeat at the Crown Ground with anything but a victory meaning York will be heading back to the National League this summer. Even then, a point for Newport County at Luton Town will mean the result from Accrington is irrelevant.
“We had a lot of different faces who had just met each other for the first time,” said McNamara about that heavy loss to Stanley earlier in the season.
“So, it will be interesting to see how far we have come. Accrington do things properly as a club. Not down to money, it is desire and workrate.
“Our record is not good enough (away from home). Not just results but performances. There have been some when we should have got more, like Wimbledon. But we have to do better.”
Dave Winfield comes back into the squad after suspension but McNamara is loathe to make any changes following the standard of performance against Portsmouth.
