Rhodes and Fisher show champion form

Ali Asad, Driffield’s overseas opening batsman, had 12 fours and a six in an undefeated 125 but hosts Sheffield Collegiate lost by just two runs in a nerve-wracking finale. Chasing 259-6, Collegiate needed four to win off the last ball, with their last pair at the wicket but could only manage a single.
Batting at No 9, Jarran Cook struck an unbeaten 52 off 20 balls, including five sixes and two fours. Opener Charles Finan top-scored with 77 and Castleford won by 53 runs against Doncaster.
Left-hander James Moorhouse had 15 boundaries in an unbeaten 82 as Rotherham beat Sheffield United by 10 wickets. Mark Cummins made an undefeated 33 against his old club and left-arm seamer Archie Ogden took 5-42 on his return from injury.
Slow right-arm bowler Kieran Lindley claimed 4-9 in four overs in Appleby Frodingham’s win against Scarborough.
