Kyle Hogg defied the weather to fashion an undefeated century for Delph & Dobcross against Conference opponents Thongsbridge yesterday.

All four third-round matches were cut short by rain and will restart tonight, weather permitting.

Hogg, who collected 13 fours and two sixes, and Irfan Zahoor shared a third-wicket stand of 125, Zahoor making 90 including seven fours and two sixes.

Delph reached 247-4 when rain ended play in the 45th over. Ijaz Shah took 3-43 with his medium pace deliveries.

Elland, last season's runners-up to Golcar, came off at 90-2 in 27 overs. Not-out batsmen Ryan Robinson and opener Lee Baxter will resume tonight with Robinson on 29 and Baxter 28. Danny Glover took both wickets to fall, at the expense of 26 runs.

Skelmanthorpe batted for 28 overs against visitors Marsden and reached 69-3. Marsden captured the valuable wicket of Wasim Jaffer for a duck, Sarfraz Ahmed made 19 and Tim Sykes (14) before losing their wickets and the not-out batsmen are Qaiser Rashid (30) and James Dollive (six).

A total of 26 overs were completed at Scholes where Hoylandswaine advanced to

92-4, with No 4 batsman John Ashton undefeated on 35 and incoming batsman Ben Potter yet to face a ball.

Liam Dickinson was dismissed without scoring and his fellow opener Ryan Copley made 18. Others to contribute to the score were Alex Morris (15) and Anthony Marr (13).

Andy Alsop took 3-45, Tom Brook capturing the other wicket and conceding 14 runs.
