Woman rescued from Bradford flat fire

A young female was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a property in Bradford this morning.

Firefighters from Idle, Rawdon and Shipley were called to the ground floor flat at three-storey Westfield House in Garsdale Avenue at 12.45am where they led the woman to safety.

A pan left on the cooker was to blame for the fire.

Fire crews used a high pressure fan to clear the property of smoke.
