Wedding rings left on train

VALUABLE wedding rings were left on a South Yorkshire train by a young woman.

British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for help in locating the rings, which were left on the 5.24pm Sheffield to Retford Northern Rail service on Monday, April 22.

A 28-year-old woman removed her rings and put them on the seat beside her, but accidentally left them when she got off at Woodhouse.

A BTP spokesman said: “After quickly realising her mistake, she immediately alerted rail staff. Inquiries were made in the lost property office, but the rings have yet to be recovered.”
