Fog warning as winter chills end mild spell
The Met Office warned that fog this morning is set to be dense, freezing and slow to clear. Tomorrow will also start cold and grey.
However December was the seventh mildest since records began in 1910 and the temperature until January 15 was 5.1C – 1.5 degrees warmer than the long-term average.

Hide AdForecaster Krista Mitchell said widespread snow is unlikely in the next week, adding: “It will be colder but not cold – in the sense it will be down to what it should be.
“Towards the end of the week it might dip a little but then return back to average.”
