Watch: Asda kicks off TV Christmas campaign

ASDA has become the first of the big supermarkets to launch its Christmas advertisig campaign, with nearly two months still to go before the event itself.

The Leeds-based supermarket launched its campaign with a 60-second commercial during last night’s X Factor on ITV.

It will be supported by giant 3D advertising boards in Leeds and Manchester, as well as viral campaigns on Youtube and other social media sites.

Barry Williams, Asda’s chief customer officer, said: “Christmas is a time you can really go for it.

“It’s a cracker of a campaign – it’s about indulging on quality food, fantastic decorations, fun or glam festive clothes and incredible efforts to get together, and depicts it all with personality.”

The advert features Sax, the debut single by X Factor contestant Fleur East, which is released on Friday.
