Video: Treat for curry lovers as Leeds hosts food festival

BRITAIN'S love affair with curry will be celebrated at a festival in Leeds this weekend.

Yesterday was the first day of the World Curry Festival, in Millennium Square, Leeds, which is open to the public today and tomorrow.

It features a wide variety of international food, drink, master classes from renowned curry chefs, live music and street entertainment.

Indian food, Thai food, Caribbean food, Malay food, Sri Lankan food and Japanese food will all be on display throughout the event.

The festival is being held to celebrate the 200th anniversary of curry's arrival in Britain.

Attractions also include demonstrations from top chefs, a 100-seater restaurant and taster tents, streets acts and live music.
