A VISITOR views one of Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Deacon’s works entitled After 98 that will be part of Tate Britain’s spring show opening today.
In a career spanning more than four decades, the sculptor is best known for his large open shapes employing materials ranging from laminated wood and polycarbonate to leather, cloth and clay.
One work, a green ceramic sculpture weighs more than 12 tonnes and stands more than 12ft high.

Hide AdCurator Clarrie Wallis said: “This monumental work highlights how Deacon’s practice is continually evolving and how the challenges he sets himself grow from the nature of his materials.”
The 40 exhibits in the show at the London gallery will be on display until the end of April.
