Six children are hurt in road accident
The casualties are all girls aged between 11 and 13. The incident happened on Belvidere Road near Princes Park at around 3.20pm.
A passerby described seeing a collision involving a yellow Peugeot car and a number of pedestrians.

Hide AdThe driver of the Peugeot - a woman aged in her 80s - was treated at the scene.
In a statement on the academy’s website, principal Peter Kennedy said yesterday: “Unfortunately there was a serious accident outside the academy at approximately 3.20pm this afternoon.
“Six of our students sustained injuries, some quite serious but not life-threatening. The emergency services were on the scene very quickly and dealt efficiently with the situation.
“All of the injured students have been taken to hospital where they are being treated. We will keep you updated as and when we receive further information.”

Hide AdMerseyside Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters helped give first aid to five girls, aged between 11 and 13, at the scene before they were taken to Alder Hey.
Fire engines from Liverpool Community Fire Station and Toxteth Community Fire Station attended, as did members of the search and rescue team.
Station manager Alan Fletcher said: “’Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended this serious incident this afternoon and assisted five young casualties at the scene.
“Crews worked closely with North West Ambulance Service, Merseyside Police, staff from the school nearby and passers-by to provide first aid and support until the girls were transferred to Alder Hey Hospital for further treatment.”
