Police hunt driver who fled Bradford crash scene after woman seriously injured

A DRIVER fled the scene of a crash in Bradford which left his passenger seriously injured.

The woman aged in her twenties was passenger in a blue VW Golf which left the road at the junction of Bradford Road and Hunters Park Avenue in Clayton before striking a tree and crashing into a garage just after 9.30pm last night. (Mon July 17)

She was taken to hospital with arm and hand injuries and is continuing to receive treatment.

The driver, who had left the scene of the collision, is believed to be in a man in his twenties.

Enquiries are continuing to trace him.

It is believed that the vehicle was travelling in convoy with another Volkswagen Golf towards Bradford and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the events prior to it.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact PC 2290 Conlon at the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team on 101, quoting log 1983 of 17 July.
