Three people taken to hospital after 'targeted' shooting in Bradford

Three people have been taken to hospital after a shooting in Bradford in the early hours.

Police say the incident at around 1am in Parkway is being treated as a targeted attack and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public at this time.

Two men and a woman injured during the shooting were said to have suffered injuries to their legs and arms, which did not appear to be serious.

Detective Superintendent Nick Wallen, of the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, said: "Police were called to Parkway, Bradford at about 1am today following a report of a firearms discharge.

"Armed officers attended and found two men, aged 22 and 41, and a 38-year-old woman with injuries to their legs and arms.

"They were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be serious."

Now officers are working to trace a vehicle seen leaving the Parkway area after the shots were fired.

Det Supt Wallen said: "Enquiries have established that a large 4 x 4 style vehicle was seen leaving the area following the incident and our enquiries are continuing to locate this vehicle."
