Three arrested over missing girl, 14

THREE men have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a 14-year-old schoolgirl, who was found yesterday morning in Bradford.

Adela Copakova, from Sheffield, had last been seen at about 8pm on Sunday, August 18 outside a house in Twentywell Lane in the Bradway area of the city.

The Slovak schoolgirl was found yesterday in Bradford following local and national appeals and a large-scale search.

Prior to her being found, police said that Adela was “known to have connections in both Sheffield and the West Yorkshire area”.

The case mirrors the case of another missing Slovak schoolgirl from Sheffield, who was also found in Bradford after going missing from home.

It is understood that the 13-year-old girl, who was reported missing earlier this month and found alone in Bradford a week later, is still in foster care and has not yet returned to her family.

Several people have been arrested in connection with the 13-year-old girl’s disappearance and are currently on police bail.

Meanwhile, a missing schoolboy is said to be “safe and well” after going home of his own accord.

Mahmood Dawood, 13, returned to his home in Sheffield at around 11pm on Monday, August 19.
