Terror police raid homes after five held at Sellafield nuclear plant

COUNTER-terror detectives carried out a string of raids today as part of investigations into arrests at the Sellafield nuclear site.

Four houses in east London were swooped on by Scotland Yard after information was passed on to them by Greater Manchester Police.

The warrants were executed as officers continued to question five suspects, all from London, under the Terrorism Act.

The arrests are not believed to have been intelligence-led.
