Stabbed man arrested over woman’s death
A WOMAN died from multiple stab wounds after an incident in Sheffield yesterday and a man found at the scene with a stab wound to his chest was arrested.
Police were called to an address on Langsett Grove, in the Walkey area of the city at 12.30am, and found the 31-year-old woman with serious stab injuries. She died on the way to hospital.
Officers said they found the injured 44-year-old man at the same address. He was taken to hospital with “life-threatening injuries”. He was arrested in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “Extensive police enquiries are taking place at the scene as officers begin to investigate the circumstances that led to the woman’s death.”
