Saucy entrepreneur books city visit

THE reggae singer and chef who strummed his way into TV’s Dragon’s Den asking for £50,000 to make his spicy Reggae Reggae Sauce will be in Hull city centre tomorrow to promote his new book.

For years Levi Roots and his family made his grandmother’s jerk chicken sauce to sell at the Notting Hill Carnival – but an exclusive deal with Sainsbury’s beckoned after he appeared on the popular show.

He has since become a spokesman for Caribbean cuisine and entrepreneurship in the black community, encouraging children that success is possible from humble beginnings.
