Rugby league fan fighting for his life after attack
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was returning to where his coach was parked in Warrington when he was attacked, leaving him with a serious head injury.
Last night a spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "There is a strong indication that the offender may have been a Featherstone Rovers supporter, and may have got onto a coach for supporters returning home."
