Resort holds candlelit vigil for knife victim
Prayers were said at churches all over the resort during the evening in memory of the 19-year-old.
Eighty people including his mother and two younger sisters packed a service at Kingdom Faith Church before they joined the crowd on the sands near the spot where the teenager was knifed to death a week ago.

Hide AdMore than 80 candles were lit in circles around a small altar with a piece of driftwood on the top.
Friends wrote messages in the sands such as “love you” and “RIP”.
Mourners included volunteers from Scarborough Street Angels who have doubled their community patrols in response to the double stabbing.
Chairman Pastor Paul Abell said: “They have felt very supported by what’s happened tonight.”

Hide AdThe vigil was organised by the Rev. Sam Foster who said: “People are still dealing with the shock. When they come together it helps.
“We wanted on behalf of the church to respond to the tragedy last weekend and give people outside the church – whether they have faith or not – the opportunity to come and light a candle for all those affected by what has happened.”
