Rapist has flattaken away

A man in jail for rape has had the council flat where he committed the offence taken away.

Desmond Earl Grey was convicted in 2008 of raping a woman at a flat in Chapeltown, Leeds – a council home he had occupied since March 1995. At Leeds County Court, Leeds City Council and East North East Homes Leeds successfully argued that because Grey’s offences were committed in the flat, he was in therefore in breach of his tenancy agreement.
