Prostitution target of clampdown
Residents living on Thorne Road, close to Doncaster town centre, have made repeated complaints and a team made up of regular police officers, PCSOs, special constables and council wardens was assembled.
Officers in charge of the operation said 18 women had been identified and issued with cautions for soliciting or loitering for the purposes of prostitution over the last month.

PC Steve Roberts from the team said: “Prostitution is an issue which has an impact not only on the quality of life for local residents, but on the women who are involved.
“Positive action will be taken to try and tackle the issue, however assistance and support will always be offered to the women to try and get them off the streets.
“We will also take action against anyone who is found using the services of prostitutes.”
