Referendum: Remain campaigners remember Yorkshire MP Jo Cox
Former frontbencher Chuka Umunna said the much-loved politician had been “utterly determined” to keep Britain in the European Union.

Hide AdMrs Cox was shot and stabbed after holding an advice surgery in her Batley and Spen constituency in West Yorkshire last week.

Hide AdDuring a referendum results event at the Royal Festival Hall in London, Mr Umunna said: “She was utterly determined that we get the right result this evening and that this campaign, the Remain campaign, wins the referendum because it spoke to everything that she was about and that she believed in.”
He added: “We thought it was only fitting this evening that we take a moment out and take a minute out to remember Jo and remember that she is absolutely central to what we are trying to do this evening.”
