Coronavirus: Yorkshire 'Terminator' for hire to kill deadly virus

MEET the man dubbed Yorkshire's Terminator - coronarvirus killer Chris Johnson.

The brave entrepreneur is squaring up to the illness and winning the battle with his new business, a dedicated professional disinfection service, called Deep Clean Yorkshire.

Armed with a thermal fogger, which looks like a weapon used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most famous sci-fi movie role, he's now taking bookings to terminate coronavirus - disinfecting shops, businesses, vehicles, homes and more.

BOOK A DEEP CLEAN: For advice and a Deep Clean Yorkshire quote, from just £10 for a vehicle, call Chris on 07979 851995, email [email protected] or visit deepcleanyorkshire.co.uk.

He has worked in agriculture, sales, marketing and managed multi-million pound developments, then 10 years ago launch the Yorkshire Gritters, part of his Brock Original Ltd business, providing a private winter gritting and summer weed spraying service.

But like many companies, evolving to tackle the coronavirus outbreak and stay in business, he has now gone from tackling weeds to killing the virus.

Dressed in personal protection kit, complete with mask and face guard, the 48-year-old has armed himself and his teams with a new state-of-the-art mobile deep cleaning gun.

But he doesn't smoke the virus. He fogs it.

The thermal fogger creates a fog of atomised water, containing disinfectant, which blows out of a barrel-like exhaust pipe - covering every surface and killing the virus.

Chris says the deep clean is completed in just the time it takes to walk around an area and fog it with disinfected - which can be just two minutes to do the inside of a vehicle.

Transport bosses are looking at new ways to tackle the killer virus after the tragic deaths of 14 London transport workers, including nine bus drivers, who all contracted Covid-19.

Chris, at his headquarters in Ossett, Wakefield, explained how they also have sprayer systems for outdoor use, said they can tackle anything from sanitisating supermarkets, trollies, shop doorways and warehouses to forklift trucks, buses, trains and emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks.

He said: "Friends have started to call me the Terminator and to be honest it's a great feeling to terminate this terrible virus.

"Now I just want more people to know about this fantastic service I can offer.

"We do small shops, large supermarkets, fleet vehicles, such as public transport and domestic homes. Ideally we would do repeat work to deep clean businesses at the end of business each day, or before a new driver takes over a fleet vehicle. But we realise people don't have bottomless pockets so our prices are very affordable.

"They start from as little as £10 for a standard vehicle. We can do a small shop or small house from £40 and larger premises by arrangement. We have to factor in travel, but we can take this anywhere. We are based in Wakefield, covering all Yorkshire and beyond.. But we also have an operation down south.

"If anyone wants our services just get in touch with their requirements. We can agree everything and take payments over the phone - so there's no contact. And when we're done we've killed the virus."

Enterprising wife Joanne, has also launched a much in demand business called Mud Kitchens Yorkshire - designing and making children's kitchen play equipment for outdoors available at mudkitchensyorkshire.co.uk.

They have a son, William, aged five.

But Chris says they've no need to worry about him going face to face with the virus.

"I'm probably the safest man in Britain. I don't just have overalls, splash boots, gloves, masks and a face visor - working in the fog means I'm covered in disinfectant.

"It doesn't cause damage to surfaces, so we can use it anywhere."
