Palace honour for former race ace

FORMER racing driver David Coulthard was at Buckingham Palace with fiancee Karen Milier yesterday to collect an MBE from the Prince of Wales for a career in the top flight that spanned more than a decade.

The ex-Formula One driver was a stalwart of his sport before retiring in 2008 and is now a regular face on the BBC as a Formula One pundit.

During his F1 career which began in 1994 the Scottish sportsman competed in 246 grands prix and won 13 races.
