Well done NHS over our vaccines – Yorkshire Post Letters

I CANNOT praise highly enough the NHS. My wife and I, both in our eighties, received our vaccination appointments from our doctors’ surgery in Goldthorpe, to be carried out at the Priory Campus in Cudworth.

The first vaccination was carried out on December 24, the second (which we didn’t expect getting) was carried out on January 7. We arrived for both vaccinations early (as old people usually do) to find that the main road had been slightly changed to make access to the car park easier. A friendly attendant directed us to Reception, where we booked in.

In a matter of minutes the vaccinations had been carried out by friendly, informative staff. We were then asked to wait for
15 minutes in case we showed signs of a ‘reaction’. We left with small cards stating that we’d had both vaccinations. The way everything had been organised was nothing short of brilliant.

Well done NHS.

THIS pandemic has brought out selfishness in many. What a shame we can’t stay at home, wash our hands, keep our distance from others and rejoice that our scientists have developed a vaccine in record time.
