The Crown’s made-up scenes disrespect Royal Family – Yorkshire Post Letters
THE creator of the Netflix drama The Crown has defended making up scenes from the show (The Yorkshire Post, November 18).
I must say I have very much an alternative view here. In my opinion it should not be permissible to produce shows about living people, whether Royalty or not, unless full agreement has been reached with those concerned.

Hide AdIt is hugely disrespectful at the very least, and there is no doubt that many people will ignore the “made up” version and consider it all as fact.
This sort of thing simply should not be allowed.

AM I the only person who utterly detests the thrumming electronic noise played over the top of commentators and presenters, particularly the newscasters on BBC?
My hearing is slightly defective, but when, some four weeks ago, Fiona Bruce was completely drowned out when reading the news headlines, I switched over.
In any other circumstances it would be downright rude and extremely bad- mannered.
