Olympics bore me already
WITH 200 days still to go (Yorkshire Post, January 10), am I alone in maintaining that the forthcoming Olympic Games have already become a thoroughly boring forethought?
Thank God we live in Yorkshire and thus feel sufficiently distant to even consider attending any event! Nevertheless, we wish all our participants the very best in their endeavours.

Hide AdPERHAPS in its quest to improve the historical image of Howarth, Bradford Council should consider persuading the notorious car clamper to dress his enforcers in period costume. I am sure visitors would feel better about being ripped off if they believed it were being done by Heathcliff or Mr Rochester.

FOLLOWING recent letters on Leeds Bradford Airport, should we be asking what is happening at the new airport at Doncaster?
Why are long-haul airlines not using Doncaster. What is wrong? Lots of jobs were promised, lots of potential for an airport with one of the longest runways in the country, something must be wrong.
