Humberside still lingers on

IN the wake of the apparent demise of the hideously named and universally despised Humberside, would it not be fair and reasonable for our excellent local BBC Radio station to be re-named and described as Radio East Yorkshire, and also for our dedicated police force to be preceded as such?

YOUR correspondent Suzan Smith wonders what exactly is a “disabled toilet” (The Yorkshire Post, October 21). In a similar vein, at my doctor’s surgery there is a “patient toilet” which I assume is for use by those suffering from constipation.
