Hillary interview was contrast to our leaders
I WONDER how many of your readers saw the BBC’s One Show’s informal interview with Hillary Clinton, carried out by the excellent Alex Jones and Matt Baker? I had the privilege of doing so. Admittedly she was on a European tour to promote her book Hard Choices: A Memoir, but her cheerful manner and knowledge of the issues she was asked about really impressed me.
In the space of not many minutes she explained the complex and worrying Middle East situation in a way that was easy to understand.

Hide AdI have heard senior politicians of the three main parties attempt, but fail miserably, to do likewise.
They came across as either having little knowledge of the subject, or hesitant to put the public “in the picture”.
By contrast Mrs Clinton was interesting to listen to and spoke in an open and frank way, something rarely seen when our politicians are addressing the public.
Very few politicians impress me, but in those few minutes she certainly did.
