Age and the
minimum wage

From: Tim Mickleburgh, Boulevard Avenue, Grimsby.

One of the best things the last Labour government did was to introduce the minimum wage. But why is there a different rate depending on age?

Not only does this go against the concept of everyone doing the same job getting the same wage, it acts as an incentive for employers to discriminate against those aged 25 plus who have to be paid more.
