Open day invitation for Blades fans

BLADES fans are being offered the chance to meet their idols at Sheffield United’s annual open day later this month.

The event will take place on Sunday, July 31, from 10am until 2pm, in the Cherry Street car park at Bramall Lane.

New manager Danny Wilson and new signings – including Haiti international Lescinel Jean-Francois – will be available to sign autographs. Visitors will also be able to see United’s video analyst in action and view the changing rooms and tunnel area.

United’s managing director, Dave McCarthy, said: “Our open day has proved tremendously popular throughout the years and hopefully this event will be no different.

“There will be plenty of free fun, including tours, the chance to get players’ signatures and climb aboard our official team coach.”

Other activities are still in the planning stage but the club said the inside of the stadium will be closed until 2pm when the gates will be opened ahead of the final pre-season friendly, against Blackpool.

The fixture against Ian Holloway’s side will kick off at 3pm and tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £3 concessions.
