Online buyers helping criminals
Online bargain hunters could be fuelling a black market in stolen and counterfeit goods.
Two out of five internet shoppers questioned in research for LV= home insurance said they were more interested in value for money than where an item came from.
Managing director John O’Roarke said: “What this research shows is that there is a huge market for stolen and counterfeit items on the internet and buyers should be wary of deals that look too good to be true.”
