Nurses provide aid to India’s poorest
The nursing equipment, including hospital beds, resuscitation manikins and nursing textbooks, is destined for M.A. Chidambaram College of Nursing in Chennai and has been donated following a revamp of the Clinical Simulation Unit in the Department of Health Sciences at York University. A senior lecturer at the York University department, Anne Phillips, visited India this year and was shocked at the lack of resources available to teach student nurses there. Students in York have raised funds to transport the equipment to Chennai, and a sea container was packed with the items yesterday. To support the project, email [email protected]
