No stroll in the park says Jo Brand as she traverses South Yorkshire
The 58-year-old, who is aiming to trek an incredible 150 miles across England in just seven days, came to a stop on day four of the BT Sport Relief Challenge: Jo’s Hell of a Walk in Langsett, South Yorkshire, yesterday.
Musician Billy Bragg joined locals in serenading the comic, who was joined by fellow comedian Lee Mack for the day, after she travelled from Barnburgh, near Doncaster, and through Bolton upon Dearne, Wombwell and Worsbrough along the way.

She said: “It was an extremely long weekend – it’s not been a stroll in the park. I don’t feel hungry, though, so my aim for leaving London as a barrel and returning as a stick is working.”
Lee Mack added: “I think I speak for the whole comedy community when I say that none of us thought she had a cat in hell’s chance of doing this.
“She turned up at the end of the day yesterday [Sunday] and she looked absolutely wrecked. It’s amazing, and a very big challenge”.
