Murder charge over canal body
Police yesterday brought another murder charge nearly a year after the body of a Chinese national was found dumped in a canal in North Yorkshire.
Wang Shaozhe, 23, from Dong Bei in China, has been charged with the murder of Chen Cai Guan, 38, whose body was found in the canal at Burn near Selby on March 20 last year.
Wang was charged in December with attempting to pervert the course of justice. He is due to appear before York magistrates today to answer the new murder count.
Bao Lung Huang, 44, from Fujian in China, and Zhouli Zhang, 49, from Dong Bei in China, have also been charged with the murder of Mr Chen.
