Man in court after estate agent murder

A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering an estate agent and trying to kill her colleague.

Jeremy Green, 25, is charged with the murder of 32 year-old Nicole Waterhouse, a sales negotiator at Hunters Estate Agency, whose body was found at a flat in York on Sunday night.

He is also accused of the attempted murder of her colleague and flatmate, Karen Browne, 23, who was found seriously injured and remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Green, of Popeshead Court, York, appeared at York Magistrates Court yesterday (Wed) dressed in a blue jumper and jeans and spoke only to confirm his name and address.

He was remanded in custody until his next appearance before Leeds Crown Court on November 6.

Both women worked as sales negotiators for Hunters - Nicole in the firm’s York branch and Karen in the Wetherby branch. Anyone who can help should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for the Major Crime Unit.
