Man goes missing after argument

BUSINESSES in Hull’s Old Town are being asked to search outbuildings for a 21-year-old man who has been missing since Saturday.

Stuart Gilson was last seen leaving a taxi outside Vodka Revolution in Lowgate at about 10.15pm, shortly after he had left a family party at his home in Annandale Road following an argument.

Mr Gilson has not returned home and failed to catch a ferry for a work-related trip to Amsterdam on Sunday evening.

He has not been missing before and his disappearance is described as out of character.

However, police have issued a strong statement urging Mr Gilson or anyone who knows his whereabouts to get in touch after appeals on social networking websites sites attracted hundreds of followers. A spokesman for Humberside Police said: “If Mr Gilson or his friends think it’s funny he’s missing and following the action on Facebook, police are concerned and are treating this missing person inquiry seriously.

“It is hugely distressing for his family.”

Mr Gilson is 5ft 7in tall, of medium build and has short, dark brown hair.
