Man accused of killing two in A1 smash has died
Joanne Richardson, 40, and her daughter Mya, six, were travelling home to Billingham from a family wedding in Dundee when their Jaguar was hit by another Jaguar near Gosforth, Newcastle, in August. Husband and father Ian Richardson, 37, and three-month old baby Ava survived.
The 61-year-old driver of the other car, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, died last week, Northumbria Police said.
The man from Blyth, Northumberland, died because of ill-health and there was no suggestion of suicide or any link to the crash.
